If you like bands with five-letter names prefaced by “The,” you’re in luck, as two of them are pairing up to tour the eastern US together. Australia’s excellent quartet The Vines will tour with British-based Capitol labelmates The Music on the MTV2 Handpicked Tour starting November 19 in Philadelphia and continuing through to Minneapolis on December 6. Although this tour only centers on the Northeast, the quartet from Leeds, England, has their own mini-tour planned prior to the dates with The Vines. The Aussies are still touring in support of their glorious debut album, Highly Evolved, while The Music’s epic spacegrooverock spectacular drops in the States in February 2003.
