Yorke Unleashes New Material At Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit

The 16th version of Neil Young’s annual Bridge School benefit concert was held this weekend in the greater Bay Area and amongst the rockers at this year’s edition were Foo Fighters, Tenacious D and Ryan Adams. However, the show stealer may have been Thom Yorke. Radiohead’s frontman played a seven-song set, playing both acoustic guitar and piano, and mixing in recent material with two new songs, “Sail To The Moon” and “There There.” He also rocked “Lucky” and “Pyramid Song,” closing the short set with a cover of the concert mainman’s “After The Gold Rush.”


For the set closer of the night, Yorke joined the day’s other musicians, , The Foos, James Taylor, The D, LeAnn Rimes and Young himself, for a rousing version of Young’s “Comes A Time.” The concert benefits the Bridge School, a not for profit school co-founded by Young aiding children with speech and other physical handicaps.
