How Marrvelous! Johnny Marr Joins Haven On-Stage In NYC

Legendary guitarist Johnny Marr made his first New York City stage
performance in some ten years taking to the stage of Don Hill’s this past
Saturday night (November 2) with Haven. Johnny produced the Manchester band’s
debut album Between The Senses and was in town to do a one-on-one interview
session during the CMJ Music Marathon. He jumped on stage to do “Where Is
The Love” and a stunning wall-to-wall guitar attack version of “Let It Live”
to close out Haven’s 40-minute set.

Although both Haven and Johnny were
scheduled to be in New York City together, the event was not really
“scheduled.” By mid-Friday, the “rumour” started to spread, and immediately
made it one of the most talked about shows to be at. Since the club’s legal
limit of occupancy is just under 200, many were left out in the cold New
York City weather to hear the “musical magic” through the walls. Despite the
handful of years working together, this is the first time he has joined
Haven on-stage.
