Johnny Marr Will Heal You In Early 2003

Alternative music icon Johnny Marr has finished his debut album and is preparing to take on the world. The former Smiths guitarist is set to release Boomslang, the first album from his new project, Johnny Marr and the Healers. The band, which also features Ringo Starr’s son Zak Starkey on drums and Kula Shaker bass player Alonza Bevan, recorded the album at Marr’s Manchester studio earlier this year. Marr also handles vocal duties on this album, the first music he’s put out in his own name since the legendary Mancunian quartet broke up in 1987. The album drops February 3, 2003, on iMUSIC.
