Longwave will play a handful of east coast dates this winter with The Realistics, Webb Brothers, and others delivering support duties, for a nine-date run which kicks off at the Khyber in Philly on November 22. Longwave are quickly becoming the media’s new darlings, thanks to the blissful rock (comparable to early U2 or The Cure) found on their new Day Sleeper EP on Fenway Recordings. Day Sleeper, produced by Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev), is currently overflowing specialty show play lists across the country, and is the precursor to the NYC quartetís major label debut album which will be released on RCA in 2003.
