Nirvana Reaches The 50 Million Mark

The release of Nirvana’s long-awaited best of album has debuted in the top 10 in more than 11 countries, according to Launch.com, a feat which has propelled the band’s catalog past the 50 million mark in worldwide sales. The previously released “You Know You’re Right” spent four weeks atop Billboard’s Modern Rock chart, only to be bumped down one spot last week by the Foo Fighters, ensuring that Dave Grohl can continue to take a daily dip in his money-filled, Olympic-sized swimming pool well into his 90s. In other Nirvana-related news, Journals, a book containing material from Kurt Cobain’s personal journal, will make its debut at number one on the NY Times‘ Best Seller List (hardcover non-fiction).
