Vines’ Sophomore Effort To Ripen Early In 2003

In what seems, at least to the band, to have been a year of incessant touring, Aussie favorites The Vines will finally record their sophomore album last year. Frontman Craig Nicholls has been pining to get in the studio since the spring, as he loves recording more than anything else. However, with the bands heavy touring schedule, this hasn’t been possible. The band has been able to write on the road, however, and they have been trying out some of the new songs live, including “Evil Town,” “Amnesia,” and “Fuck The World.” The Vines are on the road with labelmates The Music right now, then head back to the Southern Hemisphere for gigs in their homeland and New Zealand. After a brief jaunt to Japan, they will finally get to head back to the studio to do what Craig likes best.
