Suede, Royksopp, Santana To Rock Out For Jimmy Carter

December 11 is the date and Oslo, Norway, is the place. The place to be if you’re Jimmy Carter and you’re being honored for the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded each year by the Norwegian Nobel Committee and, according to the Nobel website, Carter received the honor due to “his decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development.” Not only that, but I guess Jimmy likes to rock out, as nme.com is reporting that this event is expected to feature live performances from UK glam rockers Suede, Santana, Willie Nelson, and home country ambient-leaning electrofiends Royksopp. The gig will be held at the Spektrum and will be hosted by Jessica Lange and Anthony Hopkins.
