Third Record In Spring For Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros

Former Clash linchpin Joe Strummer remains as prolific as when he fronted the seminal band twenty years ago. After releasing Global A Go-Go in 2001, he is heading back into the studio to record the third Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros album, due out next spring. Amongst the tracks expect to appear are live set staples “Coma Girl” and “Dakar Meantime.” Speaking of The Clash, not only was Strummer joined recently onstage by ex-bandmate Mick Jones, who later went on to form Big Audio Dynamite, but the quartet may reform in total for their March 10, 2003 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. More news as it becomes available.
