Jeff Gordon In The Driver’s Seat As Host Of SNL

On January 11, Jeff Gordon will become the first NASCAR driver to ever host Saturday Night Live. Gordon, who has appeared in numerous television commercials, fills in for the obnoxious Regis on Live with Regis and Kelly from time to time, when the host has one of his uncontrollable yelling fits. “It will probably be a lot like the Winston – 90 minutes of controlled chaos,” Gordon said recently to someone who was listening. Gordon has won the Winston Cup championship four times, and will follow other sporting legends turned host, such as Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Derek Jeter and more. Atta boy Lorne Michaels, way to shoot for the sister-marrying, shirtless, warm Budweiser-guzzling demographic “goldmine.”
