Coldplay Set Up Charity Fund

The Tripwire’s 2002 Album Of The Year winners, Coldplay, have long been vocal supporters of Oxfam’s “Make Trade Fair” campaign, as well as a number of other humanitarian causes. Chris Martin has been spotted on MANY occasions wearing his Oxfam T-shirt, and appearing at Oxfam fund-raisers, but now the band are planning to take their support to the next level. UK newspaper The Sun is reporting that Coldplay will donate 10% percent of everything they earn to charity. The paper even claims that the band has already set up a bank account to store the funds before they are divvied out to various causes. It looks like Bono has a new recruit in the fight against corporate evils. Who’s next?
