Lollapalooza To Return For 2003?

After a 5-year hiatus, there are rumblings of a return of the touring festival that started it all in the ’90s: Lollapalooza. According to MTV, the organizers are looking to line-up corporate sponsorship in order to help fund the rather large overhead they would be subjected to by the quality of the bands they hope to obtain. No dates or bands have been announced, but the Lollapalooza website currently shows a message asking “Are you playin’ with me?” and a link to sign-up for e-mail updates about Lollapalooza dates and line-ups. With the massive range of eclecticism in today’s alternative scene, the scope of the bands that could be added to a Lollapalooza tour is mind-boggling. We will be sure to bring you any updates on this situation as they may arise.
