Pacifier Plan US Invasion; Album Release/Tour Set For Next Month

Hard rocking Kiwi quartet, Pacifier, will release their self-titled debut album on February 11 by way of Arista Records. A week prior to the album’s release, the band will be teaming up with Trust Company for their first North American tour. The month-long trek will get underway on February 4 in Montgomery, AL. Producer Josh Abraham (Limp Bizkit, Staind, Unwritten Law) lent his multi-platinum talents to Pacifier’s album, which also includes contributions from Limp Bizkit’s DJ Lethal and STP’s Scott Weiland. Keep your eye out for the band’s first single, “Bullitproof.”

Pacifier released several CDs in their native New Zealand, as well as Australia and the UK under the name Shihad and were actually in the midst of recording the forthcoming release when they decided to change their name. “Pacifier” is the title of the third track on the Shihad’s most recent release, 1999’s The General Electric.
