Yo La Tengo Head Into Summer Sun A Bit Early

Prolific Matador cornerstones Yo La Tengo are readying yet another assault on the plaid thrift store shirt-wearing population. Recording on their 11th album, which is currently going under the name of Summer Sun, recently wrapped up in Nashville and to celebrate that fact, a tour is in order. Starting off on March 10 in Carrboro, NC, the jaunt winds through the SXSW festival and back through the Midwest and East Coast, winding down in New York City on April 25. The 13-track wonder that is Summer Sun will be found in stores starting April 8, but to satisfy your indie needs, check out the Hoboken trio’s first single, “Don’t Have To Be So Sad.”
