Rob Zombie Teams With Lionel Richie For Corpses Soundtrack

Metal giant Rob Zombie has tapped disco/easy listening sensation Lionel Richie to record an updated, hardcore metal version of The Commodores’ 1977 hit “Brick House.” The song will be included on the soundtrack for Zombie’s much-delayed directorial debut, House Of 1000 Corpses. The film was shot in 2000, but denied release by Universal Pictures because, according to NME, it was “at odds with [Universal's] motion picture-releasing strategy.” The throw-back style horror flick will now be released in April through Lion’s Gate pictures.

The film’s soundtrack will see release on March 18 through Geffen Records. In addition to his Richie collaboration, “Brick House 2003,” it will feature four new Zombie songs and select punk, garage, and country offerings as well.
