CMJ Monthly Concert Series Kicks Off With The Realistics

College music bible CMJ is cranking up a monthly concert event in New York City and will set the ball in motion with a show this month. The first gig in the CMJ New Music Monthly Concert Series will be hometown boys The Realistics, with The Oranges Band and Robbers on High Street at Pianos on February 13, with the rocking starting at 7 PM. The series showcases both signed and unsigned acts and rotates venues, spreading the love throughout NYC. The March event has been announced as well, with Player .038 DVD stars Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster teaming up with The Fever and The Hold Steady, also at Pianos. The Realistics show will only set you back $7, but the price has not yet been set for the B-Line Disaster gig.
