New Zealand’s favorite garage rock export, The Datsuns, will make another run across the US this Spring, beginning March 14 in Austin, TX as part of V2’s SXSW showcase. The UK press was quick to blow their load all over The Datsuns last October when the band’s full-length debut dropped overseas. The quartet’s AC/DC meets Deep Purple sound will now be the center of attention in the US when the album is given stateside release by V2 on March 4. The Datsuns will be on the road through April 13, spreading the good word and proving that they are worthy of all the praise they’ve been receiving (and for the record – the are).
