45th Annual Grammy Winners ñ yippee!
Did everyone watch the Grammys? Of course you did. It’s the biggest night of the year for the music biz, right? Well, if you were one of the lucky few who decided to watch Alias instead, here’s what you missed. About an hour or so into the show, Coldplay performed a special version of “Politik” with members of the New York Philharmonic. It was nice. Then, just before the presentation of the Album Of The Year award, Dave Grohl, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, and Steven Van Zandt teamed up to perform “London Calling” as a special tribute to The Clash. Norah Jones won just about every award, Avril Lavigne still has a bad attitude, and John Mayer actually won an award for the most annoying song ever written (though I give him kudos for the humble acceptance speech).
