Chicago-bred actor Jeremy Piven has signed on to star in Scary Movie 3. Set for an October 3 release, the third installment in the horror-spoof franchise will be directed by the legendary David Zucker (The Naked Gun, Airplane!) and distributed by Dimension Films (under the Miramax roof). Piven, who currently stars in Old School, will play a news anchor and join Charlie Sheen and wife Denise Richards who also star in the film. Shooting begins this month in Canada.
