Flaming Lips Bring Yoshimi To The People

After a two-year hiatus from headlining, psychedelic pop superstars Flaming Lips are yet again putting their name at the top of the marquee. While the band has toured often since 2000, whether opening for Beck and playing as his backing band or being part of a Cake tour, they haven’t done just a Flaming Lips tour. Until now. The Oklahoma City boys will head out over the eastern portion of the country, starting off in Charleston, SC, on April 16 and winding their way through both the back roads and the interstates before coming to a halt in Urbana, IL, on May 4. No word as to whether or not the Grammy award winners will continue the jaunt throughout the South and West after this excursion, but you know where to read about it if and when it happens.
