If you love Fountains Of Wayne and are sick of hearing frontman Adam Schlesinger only as the voice of Crank Yankers, you’re in luck. The Jersey power-poppers have inked a deal with S-Curve/EMI and will finally be releasing their third studio album. Welcome Interstate Managers (which had to be taken from a hotel conference room sign, didn’t it?) is due out on June 3 and will hopefully feature all the tuneful goodness that their prior two albums contained. They even found space for their buddy, ex-Smashing Pumpkins man, James Iha, who Schlesinger worked with on the Ivy project he is also part of. Power pop + summer = good times ahead.
