Liam Lynch Collects Fake Songs For CD/DVD Release

The mastermind behind MTV’s cult smash Sifl & Olly will release a CD/DVD package on April 1. In addition to his MTV fame, Liam Lynch has also directed videos for Tenacious D and the Foo Fighters and is currently co-writing and directing the new Tenacious D full-length motion picture for Ben Stiller’s production company. The forthcoming CD/DVD release will be titled Fake Songs and will feature a collection of Liam’s hilarious tunes, including “Fake Bjork Song,” “Fake David Bowie Song,” “Fake Pixies Song,” “Fake Talking Heads Song,” and of course, “United States Of Whatever.”

According to a spokesperson for the label, the DVD component of Fake Songs will feature nearly two hours of video clips and comedy highlights from Liam’s extensive body of work. The video for “United States Of Whatever” will also be included in the package.

S-Curve Records, the label who “let the dogs out” with the Baha Men, will release Fake Songs on April 1.
