Dirty Vegas, Fischerspooner Win At 2003 DanceStar USA Awards

The second annual DanceStar USA awards were held Wednesday (March 19) in Miami’s South Beach and Mitsubishi-driven dance act Dirty Vegas took top honors. The trio took home awards for Best Video, Record Of The Year, and Best Song In A Commercial, all for their breakthrough smash “Days Go By.” Another Capitol act, the wild and crazy Fischerspooner, took home the Best Remix award for their re-working of Kylie’s “Come Into My World.” Other winners included Moby for Best Act, Oakenfold for Best Dance Album, and DJ Colette for Breakthrough DJ. According to Billboard, P. Diddy was even on hand and performed his new song “Let’s Get Ill” with a little help from Kelis. P. Diddy’s forthcoming Bad Boy album will be more dance oriented and is expected to hit the streets later this year.
