MTV will be gushing with more reality shows this season, on the channel that continues to abandon the word “music” in it’s namesake. Blink-182, Paula Abdul and bright and shiny couple Jessica Simpson and 98 Degrees’ Nick Lachey will all star in some sort of show on the channel, which is fueled by such shows as Sorority and Fraternity Life, Real World, and Punkíd. Blink-182’s show will peek inside the studio, capturing the making of their forthcoming album. The focus of Abdulís show is set to be competitive cheerleading (Bring It On), and Simpson and Lachey will have a show chronicling their first year of marriage. Wow, that sounds better than pouring molten lava into my mouth! Also in the works on the channel is a comeback vehicle for the one-ball wonder Tom Green, Jackass star Bam Margera, and a dance-music series from former ‘N Sync and Britney Spears choreographer Wade Robinson.
