Love Names New Album, In Talks To Secure It’s Domestic Release

Rock & roll bad-girl turned fashion queen Courtney Love is currently in France working on a solo album, ironically titled American Sweetheart. According to Billboard, Love’s management has revealed that they are currently in talks with a number of labels, including EMI, Sanctuary, and V2, who are all interested in releasing the album. Many of the songs set for inclusion on America’s Sweetheart have been co-written by Love and 4 Non Blondes’ Linda Perry. Perry has previously written hits for Pink and Xtina (but it was that slower, non-slutty, Christina song). As previously reported, Love has already inked a deal with Alan McGee’s Poptones label in the UK. We’ll keep you posted as she secures a label deal in the US.
