Liz Phair Joins The Flaming Lips On Tour

Liz Phair will join The Flaming Lips for her first tour in like, um, a bunch of years, and they will be acoustic performances to boot! Phair, whose forthcoming self-titled CD will be released on June 24 from Capitol, will play seven dates with the Lippers beginning May 23 in Portland and wrapping on June 3 in Denver. Phair is also slated to perform in the Field Day Festival on Long Island on June 7. The first single from Phair’s album, “Why Can’t I?,” is a crossover smash that is sure to bring the sexy Chicago singer/songwriter back to the limelight…well maybe not limelight but how about forefront? Co-produced by the Matrix team and Phair, this is the singer’s first batch of new music since the lengthily titled whitechocolatespacegg.
