Former Pavement idol Stephen Malkmus and his band The Jicks will tour the piss out of their new album, Pig Lib, which is available now via Matador. The band have been conquering Europe as of late, and their month long US tour begins in Los Angeles on April 28 at the El Rey theater. Absolutely no one knows (at least no one at Pitchforkmedia.com) who the opening acts will be, but the music found on the bandís sophomore Pig release is so stunning, that an opening act would almost put a damper on the evening. If you want to get your hands on more Malkmus music check out the Domino Records site and pick up the Dark Wave EP (available May 3, but pre-orders are happening now).
