Village Voice Lures Indie Fans To Coney Island With Siren Song

The Village Voice 3rd annual Siren Music Festival will be held July 19 at Coney Island, NY. The indie-centric lineup includes Hot Hot Heat, Sahara Hotnights, Modest Mouse, The Kills, Radio 4, Ted Leo + The Pharmacists, !!!, Northern State, The Pattern, and more. The event will last from Noon to 9pm, will be available to fans of all ages and, here’s the best part – it’s FREE. To add to the excitement, local bands and DJs will be performing throughout the amusement park on two outdoor stages. According to a spokesperson for Village Voice, past events have drawn record crowds of more that 50,000 throughout the day. Last year’s all-day rock fest featured NYC’s own Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Von Bondies, amongst others.
