Jack Osbourne Speaks Out From Rehab

As previously reported, 17-year-old Jack Osbourne was checked into a California rehab clinic on April 23. On his fourth day in rehab, the youngster sat down with People Magazine to tell his story. “I got caught up in my new lifestyle. Once I realized this, I voluntarily checked myself into a detox facility for my own heath and well-being.” According the MTV.com, Jack had taken a break from partying in January after telling his rock and roll parents that he was overindulging in marijuana and alcohol, but just couldn’t resist temptations he encountered while crashing in his parent’s Malibu home. Filming of the third season of The Osbournes was wrapped back in February, so we won’t get to see Jack suffering from withdrawal while we snack on chips and salsa.

What does Ozzy think about his 17-year-old son following in his own footsteps (well, not the wildly successful music career, but definitely the appetite for drugs and alcohol)? Ozzy told People, “”It takes a lot of courage and strength to admit you need help, and both Sharon and I are proud Jack is facing his problems head-on.”

There is no word on how long Jack will remain at the rehab facility, but we do know that the new season of The Osbournes kicks off on June 10 on MTV.
