Rock legend Elvis Costello has lined up a month-long summer tour that kicks off July 2 in Toronto, ON. Elvis will be backed by The Imposters through July 19 in Berkeley, CA, but will take a quick three-day detour to Canada with only his long-time keyboardist Steve Nieve before reuniting with The Imposters for a performance at the final day of Japan’s Fuji Festival. Nieve has spent years with Costello as a member of The Attractions and has made the transition to The Imposters along with fellow former Attractions member, Pete Thomas. Former Cracker bassist Davey Faragher is the only non-former Attractions member in The Imposters. According to Billboard, Costello is currently in the studio working on a new album which is slated for release on September 23 via Deutsche Grammophon/Universal Classics.
The forthcoming tour will be Costello’s third North American trek since the release of When I Was Cruel in April of 2002. Take a look below for the full tour details.
