Osbourne patriarch Ozzy and his daughter Kelly have decided to part ways with their label, Epic/Sony Music. NME reports that a spokesperson for the family said that the father/daughter team decided to leave the label after Sony chairman Tommy Mottola left the company in January. In regards to the matter, Sharon Osbourne told People magazine, “No one’s done anything wrong. After all this time you get used to each other, so it’s no longer exciting when a new album is turned in. We want that excitement back.” Ozzy has had a relationship with Sony Music since 1980’s Blizzard Of Ozz, while daughter Kelly joined Epic late last year in the midst of Osbourne mania. However, her debut album, Shut Up, has gone on to sell fewer than150,000 units and could be partially to blame for the split.
