Classic Neil Young Albums Get First Time CD Release

Rock legend Neil Young will finally see the release of four of his classic albums on CD for the first time later this summer. According to NME, On The Beach (1974), American Stars n’ Bars (1977), Hawks And Doves (1980), and Re.ac.tor (1981) will all make the leap to digital for the first time on June 24. These albums have been out of print in the States since their LP pressing went out of circulation. There is no word as to whether the CDs will come packaged with a ton of bonus material, as many of the recent re-issues have lately, but I doubt that die-hard Neil Young fans will mind much. They’ll just be happy to be able to listen to these albums in their cars. The veteran musician is currently on a solo tour of Europe, but will be heading back the US for a summer tour with Lucinda Williams that kicks off June 8 in West Palm Beach, FL.
