Jeremy Ward Of The Mars Volta Dies

Shocking news rang out from The Mars Volta camp this morning, when it was reported that Jeremy Michael Ward had died from an apparent drug overdose. He was 27 years old. Ward and the rest of The Mars Volta had just returned to Los Angeles for a small break in between legs of The Red Hot Chili Peppers tour. The band’s debut record De-Loused in the Comatorium (available in July), is one of the most explosive and highly anticipated gifts that this year has to offer. Ward was officially pronounced dead at his home in LA on May 25.
