Superchunk Double CD, DVD, And The Kitchen Sink On The Way

Superchunk, the tar-heeled indie rock sensations, will release a two-CD set of rarities entitled Cup Of Sand on August 19 on their very own Merge Records. Four previously unreleased tracks will appear in the package, resurrected b-sides, along with covers of David Bowie and Adam & the Ants tracks according to Billboard. This is the bandís third rarities collection, which means that the pop-rock legends of North Carolina have recorded more songs than KISS ìfinal showî tours. The band is also hard at work their first DVD, which will feature their lengthy video collection, live footage, and a documentary shot during the Hereís To Shutting Up tour. Superchunk singer, and Merge honcho Mac McCaughan, recently released Summer Of The Shark under his solo cloak, Portastatic.
