All Tomorrow’s Parties Pushed Back To September

The Matt Groening-curated LA edition of the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival has been rescheduled. Originally slated for June 20-22, the event will now be held September 26-28. According to Billboard, a spokesperson for the event blames “sluggish” ticket sales for the postponement. Over 30 acts were booked for June, including Yo La Tengo, Nick Cave, Trail Of Dead, and The Breeders. The organizers hope to re-book some of those acts for the new event, as well as make use of the Palladium, the Palace, and the Henry Fonda Theater, all of which were lined up for June.

The East Coast edition of the festival, curated by Stephen Malkmus, was scheduled to take place in September in Asbury Park, NJ, but will now be moved to “a new location.” Sounds a bit complicated, eh? We’ll keep you posted.
