Superstar William Orbit has more than 50 tracks in the can for his next solo album. He’s currently sifting through the exorbitant amount of material to have the as-yet-untitled album ready in time for a September release. The new album will be Orbit’s first solo offering since 2000’s collection of electronic remakes of classical pieces from Beethoven, Handel, and Barber, called Pieces In A Modern Style. Rolling Stone reports that the forthcoming release could possibly feature collaborations with Finley Quaye, Beth Orton and Blur’s Damon Albarn. A track pulled from a recently wrapped session with Kentucky’s Nappy Roots is also expected to make the cut.
