Dashboard Confessional Leave Tour With Beck

Dashboard Confessional have taken their emotional brand of acoustic-based tear-jerkers and left the tour with Beck and the Black Keys. Billboard reports that the band played their final gig on Saturday in Denver, then proceeded directly to their accountant’s office to see how much money they lost due to a poor turnout in the smaller US markets. Because of poor sales, shows have been downsized from 10,000 to 2,000 seat venues, and the Black Keys will now play a longer set before Beck. Hey Beck, how are those “ribs” anyway?. Have they “healed” from that “horrible” Field Day incident? Once the shows move to a smaller venue, the bands must take a smaller performance fee. The band will begin promotional work on their upcoming A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar record which will be released on Vagrant on August 12.
