Travis Share Five New Songs At Charity Concert

In a triumphant return to the live arena, heartfelt Britpoppers Travis unveiled five new (or fairly new) songs during their set last night in Edinburgh, Scotland, at the charity concert benefiting CONCERN, an African hunger relief and healthcare charity. The show also featured sets by Teenage Fanclub and Arab Strap, who replaced the ill Idlewild. Travis frontman Fran Healy shared his opinions with the crowd, “These are some statistics ñ 25 million people are going to be infected with HIV within the next 15 years out there. Thatís fucking mental. Weíve got this fucking dickhead (George W) Bush over in America whoís talking about ëweapons of mass destructioní ñ they donít exist, obviously.” He went on to implore, “The biggest weapon of mass destruction I can think of is AIDS. Itís ridiculous, and itís ignorance on these governmentsí parts.” The quartet went on to rock a 17-track set, including the five newbies. Those tracks were “Love Will Come Through,” which can be found on the Moonlight Mile soundtrack, “Beautiful Occupation” from the Hope charity album and three bona fide new songs, “Definition Of Wrong,” “Re-Offender,” and “How Many Hearts.” Hopefully, the boys will finish up that fourth album so we can enjoy the songs as much as the Scots at the show.
