All Tomorrow’s Parties, NYC Version, Pushed Back To 2004

The US versions of the All Tomorrowís Parties festivals are not doing well at all. Just last month, the LA festival dates were pushed back from June to the end of September due to insufficient ticket sales and now the NYC version, due to be held at Asbury Park, NJ, has been cut for this year. Due to the switching of the LA dates, the routing for NYC was screwed up and now the New York version, which was to be curated by Pavement frontman Stephen Malkmus wonít occur until 2004. LAís version, with Simpsons mastermind Matt Groening curating, only has a handful of bands confirmed, including Throwing Muses and Mission To Burma. Keep your eyes peeled for further updates on these unfortunately troubled festivals.
