2004 To Bring New Garbage Album

Electronic pop/rock combo Garbage are currently holed away in Wisconsin recording their next album, which is due out in the first part of 2004. Working since November on their first album since 2001ís Beautiful Garbage, the quartet of producer extraordinaire Butch Vig, Steve Marker, and frontwoman supreme Shirley Manson are in Vigís studio and are happy with the current progress. Two tracks that look to make the cut include the rocking ìRight Between The Eyesî and ìHanginí With The Bitches,î which Vig likens to Talking Heads. Vig spoke with Rolling Stone, telling them ì”It’s a lot more raw. There’s been more live playing and a lot more ad-libbing going on. Instead of really crafting the songs, we’re leaving them a lot looser.” The band hope to complete recording by Halloween for that early 2004 release.
