South London trio, er, South have completed recording their sophomore album and are about to release the first single from that set. “Loosen Your Hold” is the first nugget of joy from With The Tides, and the single is already garnering airplay on BBC1, BBC2, Virgin Radio and XFM in the UK. It will receive a retail release on August 11 in the UK, but in a reverse of normal label activity, the US will see the full length first, on September 23. In the meantime, fill your need for the South boys by checking out their new single on their site and hit “play” to hear the Travis-esque sweeping pop glory that is “Loosen Your Hold.” You will be pleasantly surprised at the jumps theyíve made since their debut. Hopefully, further greatness waits on Tides.
