Anti-Pop Consortium Members Form Airborne Audio, Perform In NYC

M. Sayyid and High Priest, formerly of famed underground hip-hop/dance group Anti-Pop Consortium, will perform tomorrow night in New York City for the first time as Airborne Audio. This will be the first time the duo have performed under their new moniker since Anti-Pop Consortium disbanded last year. The event will be held at New York’s ¸ber-hip Pianos on 158 Ludlow and will get underway at 9:30 p.m. (with a pair of opening acts). M. Sayyid and High Priest hope to release Airborne Audio material next year, so tomorrow’s show will be your only chance to hear the pair’s latest musical endeavor.

The duo are also working on solo material. High Priest is currently working on an instrumental album and M. Sayyid has a forthcoming EP set for release on Sound-Ink Records.

Beans, Anti-Pop Consortium’s third member also has the solo thing happening. He released his solo debut, Tomorrow Right Now, in March on Warp Records.
