Iron Maiden Drummer Runs A Guy Over With His Car, On Purpose

Michael “Nicko” McBrain, was arrested Saturday in Wantagh, New York, after he purposely drove his Jaguar into a parking attendantÖ uh, allegedly. According to MTV, the 51-year-old drummer was trying to pull into a VIP lot at the Tommy Hilfiger at Jones Beach Theater when he was stopped by a parking attendant. The attendant, Mike Robinson, asked for credentials, McBrain showed his ID but the attendant didn’t see it clearly. When he asked to see them again, McBrain told the attendant he’d hit him if he didn’t get out of the way. Robinson refused and was subsequently hit by McBrain, but only lightly. The drummer then gave the warning again and when the attendant held his ground, McBrain hit him with more force, causing Robinson to fall onto the hood of the Jag. Robinson suffered bruises to his right hand and legs, and was taken to Nassau University Medical Center for examination.

The drummer was arrested on the scene and charged with third-degree assault and second-degree reckless endangerment, but was released on an “appearance ticket” and was able to play the show. If convicted McBrain could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.

Remember when rock stars used to beat people up with their fists instead of their Jaguars?
