Stars Shooting For Fall Album Release, Tour

Canada’s Arts&Crafts label, the good folks who brought us Yankees The Broken Social Scene, will release the new album from Montreal-based four-piece Stars on August 26 in the US. Entitled Heart, the band’s sophomore LP has been called “An imposing workÖ a great, great album” by Billboard magazine and has received similar reviews from NME, Time Out, and MOJO. The band will be embarking on a tour of the US in September, beginning 9/12 at Smalls in Detroit. As of now, 11 dates are confirmed, including stops in Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York, and Boston.

More dates are expected to be added before the end of the year, including a possible West Coast tour with labelmates The Broken Social Scene. Stars vocalist Amy Millan just wrapped up a tour with BSS, and I’ll just say this – she was incredible. Look below for the Stars’ forthcoming tour dates.
