Montreal-based quartet The Stills will release their debut album on October 21 through the good folks at Vice Records (you know, the guys that knocked everyone out last year with The Streets’ debut, oi oi oi!). The album has been named Logic Will Break Your Heart and if the attention attracted by the band’s current three-song EP is any indication, they’re not going to be hard pressed to find allies in the media. Rolling Stone and MTV/MTV2 are already championing them as one of 2003’s 10 artists to watch, while NME has the Stills’ “Still In Love Song” as a “contender for single of the year.” Prior to the release of Logic Will Break Your Heart they will embark on a North American tour with Interpol, the band that helped The Stills establish themselves in the NYC rock scene.
Beginning September 16 in the band’s hometown of Montreal, The Stills will be onboard with Interpol for a six-date stint that will take them through major cities across the central US. UK fans will be able the check out The Stills even sooner, when they play seven dates throughout Great Britain, including stops at both the Leeds and Reading Festivals.
