A little something called the Sunset Junction Street Fair will go down August 23 and 24 in Los Angeles (Echo Park, Los Feliz, Silver Lake neighborhoods) and will feature music from Guided By Voices, Dandy Warhols, and others. It might sound like another summer street fair but the real situation here is…just another summer street fair! Circle Jerks, Icarus Line, Metric, Twilight Singers, Brian Jonestown Massacre and the Muffs will light shit on fire this Saturday while, Alaska!, The Tyde, Earlimart, Moving Units,
Rilo Kiley, Phantom Planet, and The Dandy Warhols are scheduled to blow up the city on Sunday…and judging by the ludicrous state of political affairs in California, that jacked up state needs to fall right into the Pacific Ocean once and for all. But first, we rock! Tickets are $7 and proceeds will go towards the Sunset Junction Neighborhood Alliance which is a non-profit organization focusing on making the world a better place.
