Chili Peppers Plan To Record Two Tracks, Come Out Of Studio With 15

What started out as a quick bit of studio time to record two new tracks for their upcoming greatest hits since 1991 called, uh, Greatest Hits, turned into a highly fruitful recording process for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They only went in to record the two aforementioned tracks, but instead were inspired enough to put 15 tracks down. 15! On the bandís website, bassist Flea exhorted, “We played a wide variety of music arranged into song format that is among the most diverse and dynamic good feeling shit we have ever done. It is the fastest we have ever recorded so much material … I can’t wait for y’all to hear it.” While there is no current plan to release the bonus recorded material, the greatest hits album is expected to surface on November 11 through Warner Bros.
