South Guitarist Breaks Wrist, Live Dates On Hold

See? This is why your mom told you not to play football in the house. Er, I guess she meant outside, too. South guitarist Jamie McDonald was mercilessly hacked down whilst breaking away for the winning goal Sunday in London and the end result, tragically, was a broken wrist and a doctorís note saying ìstay off the guitar for 12 weeks, dammit.î Bad news for South fans who had hoped to see their boys at CMJ or in the US anytime this year and worse for the UK fans who already had firm dates in their eyes. Southís brilliant sophomore album, With The Tides, and its epic first single ìLoosen Your Hold,î as heard on Cornerstone Player .046, will still street on September 23, but youíll just have to wait until Jamieís fully healed next year to hear its majesty live. Either that or figure out who can rebuild him, who has the technology.
