The Vines Finish Recording Sophomore Album

Guitar-smashing Aussie rockers The Vines have finished recording 11 songs for the follow-up to last year’s acclaimed Highly Evolved. NME reports that the new album will be released early next year and will include the tracks “Autumn Shade II,” “Fuck The World,” “Amnesia,” and “Evil Town.” Frontman Craig Nicholls calls the new material, “futuristic but, at the same time, really very raw.” Bassist Patrick Matthews told the Sydney Sun Herald that the album has been named, but sadly he didn’t spill the beans. Matthews just said, “I donít think we get to cast a vote. Craig will decide. We could have a band meeting but if the title wasnít what he wanted he would probably lock himself in a room until it was. Either that, or heíd quit the band.” Sounds like a rock & roll frontman to me!
