Adam Franklin Playing Solo Material, Swervedriver Tunes This Fall

The shoegaze revival is go! After Mark Gardener took to the road this spring playing Ride songs mixed with his own solo work, he thought it was such a good idea, heíd come back this time with a full band backing him up, for extra-shoegazetasticness. And so it is with Adam Franklin of Swervedriver. Adam has toured the US many times, playing solo acoustic material and some of his Toshack Highway tunes, but he is going to tour the East Coast this fall with complete electric backing, playing Swervies songs, as well as tunes of his own. The mini-tour kicks off in Atlanta on November 7 with the announced dates ceasing in New Haven on November 16. Support on all dates comes from The Roy Owens Jr. (featuring members of Magnapop), and more dates are expected to be added, so if your city is not on the list and you want to rock out to early ë90s wonders such as “Son Of Mustang Ford,” “Duel,” or “Kill All The Superheroes,” you may still be in luck.
